If you want to impress people with the fact that you are using a real pumpkin. Some people claim it is better than the other one I put on here, but I will let you decide.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ⅛ tsp cloves
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
- 3 eggs
- 1 baking pumpkin
- 1 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk (I usually use cream)
- Pie crust (make or buy)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Cut pumpkin in half, remove seeds, and bake for 50 min until inside is mashable or a fork glides through easily.
- Remove pumpkin inside and mash. You could put it in a food processor. Usually I use an electric mixer to beat it slightly.
- Roll out crust and blind bake for 7–8 min.
- Beat eggs until fluffy.
- Add all flour, sugar, salt, & spices. Stir to combine.
- Add cream and stir.
- Add pumpkin and stir.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for 50 min.
